About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst who can independently investigate complex operational, financial, transactional and healthcare datasets, find what matters, and explain it clearly. You’ll go beyond surface-level reporting to understand root causes, and help business stakeholders decide what to do next.
What you’ll do
- Perform deep-dive analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and business insights.
- Translate findings into clear stories: what is happening, why, and what it means for the business.
- Independently investigate unfamiliar data, business questions and analytical problems with limited direction.
- Use SQL and other analytical tools to extract, manipulate, validate and analyze large datasets.
- Evaluate historical performance and current trends to support decision-making.
- Understand, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance existing analytical models, calculations and business logic.
- Investigate discrepancies and unexpected results rather than stopping at surface-level validation.
- Partner with business stakeholders to shape analytical questions and the best way to answer them.
- Work with Data Engineers to understand data structures, lineage, availability and quality.
- Improve analytical workflows so the organization can support new initiatives at scale.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support reporting and visualization partners with validated analysis and business context.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, decision support, financial analytics, healthcare analytics or a related field.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills.
- Experience independently analyzing large, complex datasets.
- A strong eye for trends, patterns, anomalies and relationships in data.
- The ability to turn analysis into clear business insight and tell a compelling story with data.
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with existing analytical models, calculations and business logic.
- Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
- Resourcefulness and comfort working independently in ambiguous, evolving environments.
Nice to have
- PBM, pharmacy, healthcare, claims or healthcare financial analytics experience.
- Experience analyzing complex financial or transactional data.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or BigQuery.
- Alteryx.
- Python or a similar analytical programming language.
- Tableau or another BI tool.
- Data quality and validation experience.
- Experience on greenfield or fast-moving analytics initiatives.
- Some forecasting exposure.
